The Details:
-Black suede seat with black suede and leather flaps
-Adjustable/removable knee blocks
-Regular stirrup bars

-Seat size is not stamped on saddle. Measures 17 1/2" from screw head angled back to inside rim of saddle. 18" to outside rim
-Short girth straps
-Flap is 18" from bottom of the stirrup bars down to the longest spot on flap
-Saddle is made by John Hamilton of Walsall for Balance International
-Stored in a smoke-free home
The Story:
This Soft Options Balance Saddle is in very good condition. There are a few scrapes and blemishes on the leather, as you can see in the pictures, but overall the stitching, billets, wool surge, suede and leather is supple and in good working order.
The Soft Options has a half tree (in the front for stability) and is suitable for wide horses with little or no withers. (It was too wide for my medium-sized Paint.) It comes with the basic padding system (see pictures) from Balance to assist in contouring the saddle to your horses back. The seat is very soft and comfortable, the rim of the saddle "hugs" your bottom! This saddle also works well with the Parelli Theraflex (air) saddle pad.
I have three Balance Saddles, and have found the one that works the best for me and my horse. As I mentioned above, this is too wide for us and therefore I will be passing this rare saddle, that they no longer make, on to someone else.
