I really like Dover's Riders International Rugs. In my years managing barns, I found these rugs to hold up to the rigors of multiple horse turnout and roughhousing as rugs twice and three times their price. Because there is no center seam running down the length of the horse's back, they blankets (when appropriately fitted) stay put. They are waterproof yet breathable and made of top quality materials like a Teflon-coated 1200 denier ripstop waterproof/breathable outer shell, 340 grams of thick poly fill insulation and a breathable nylon lining.
Extra deep gusset, no center seam, extra deep fit, low cross surcingles, adjustable front clip and dee closure. Ring at wither and loops inside neck to secure neck cover (purchased separately). Leg straps and tail flap.
I purchased this blanket for a horse that I sold before he could wear it (I am also offering a Rider's International Turnout Sheet that is also new and was purchased for his same horse). As I am moving overseas before purchasing another horse, I am selling them.
It comes in a storage bag that will keep your blanket clean and neat during the summer months.
For measuring your horse for a blanket, go to Dover Saddlery's website and read their blanket sizing guide to make sure this blanket will fit your horse. Due to the fact that this blanket is new and has never been worn, I will not accept returns after it has been placed on a horse. I find these blankets have always run true to size. The photos pulled from Dover Catalog showing a horse wearing the blanket style are true to color. My flash distorted the color on the photos of the actual blanket for auction.I will combine shipping on my horse blankets to help save you money!
