Looking for a fancy dressage partner in a small package? Trups, a coming 5 yr old German Riding Pony is a perfect large pony for an adult amateur or young rider. He has the looks, 3 good gaits, he is safe and is easy to ride and train. He does not go unnoticed in the show ring!
Trups is a 14.2h German Riding Pony with great rideability and potential. His character is very mature for his age, he is brave and forward thinking. He has been professionaly started and is in full training with KYB Dressage. Schooling leg yeilds, shoulder-in, and counter canter. Just like his FEI sire, Makuba, we believe Trups will be able to go up the levels. Trups has also been in a 60 day professional jumping program and loved to jump.
Trups received First Premium status from the North American Sport Pony Assoc. and was Reserve Champion at his site inspection, Bell Oaks Farm, Oct. 2006. In 2007, he was shown in-hand as a yearling where he was Reserve Champion:Colts, Stallions, Geldings, Sorensen Park, and qualified for the USDF Breeders Championship. In 2009, he was shown in 3-yr-old Materiale classes at Lamplight Equestrian and Silverwood Farm where he got 7s on his gaits. Traveled to Dressage at Devon where Trups was Breed Champion for the NASPA, as well as taking 5th place in the 3-year-old Materiale class. Starting January 2010, Trups has been showing Training Level with his 15 yr old Junior rider with scores in the mid 60s and now 8s on his gaits. He has qualified for the USDF Region 2 Regional Championship with his junior rider at Training Level.
