This is the very popular, older model of the Crosby Prix St. Georges dressage saddle, made in England, in brown leather. Seat measures 17 inches. Long billets. (Flap straps on saddle removed previous to my purchase). I am not the original owner, but I used it as my primary saddle for a number of years and it served me well. I always found it comfortable and it worked well for my big-boned Thoroughbred. It is in good used condition and while it does show some signs of age and wear, it has been well cared for.
Because of its use, there are some minor surface cracks in the usual stress areas on the underside under the cantle and on padding under upper flaps, but they do not detract from functionality. As a bonus, I will include the short, 26-inch girth that matches the saddle (dark brown leather, also used, but in very good condition). Keep in mind, if you'd prefer short billets, you can always trim the billets and punch more holes in them in order to use a conventional girth with this saddle. Stirrups and leathers are not included. I've enjoyed riding in this saddle, but I'm now horseless after many years, so it's time for it to go to someone who needs a nice, useful dressage saddle that won't break the bank!
There is no indication of tree size that I can find, but I have measured the width betwen the pommel points (widest structural part below the stirrup bars), which is approximately 24-26cm (9 1/2-10 inches) wide, and I'm told it equates to a narrow tree, but I cannot guarantee this. NOTE: I cannot guarantee that this saddle will fit a particular horse or rider.
This is a used item, so normal wear should be expected. I've tried to show the areas of wear in the photos, but if you would like to see a different perspective or detail not shown, let me know and I'll do my best to take additional photos to accommodate you.
