Recognizing Online Scammers
Someone send fraudulent looking email to some horse sellers today. We want to remind you to be aware of spammers and those attempting to engage you in fraudulent activities online.
While we have measures in place to prevent as much spam email as possible, there will always be some that gets though. It's not harmful to anyone as long as you are aware of it, ignore, and delete. Legitimate buyers talk in a normal human way, unlike these types of emails.
We protect your email addresses on horse classifieds from automated harvesters by hiding them.
We also limit automated email from getting through the system by requiring manual 3 digit text code to be entered by the form submitter on our seller contact form.
Some email will likely get through from time to time. It does not happen too often. Just be aware of obvious email signs.
